What this site is, and what it is not
Sydney Airport Parking is an independent information resource about airport parking around Mascot, the suburb immediately north of the terminals. We explain how stay periods are usually counted, how the roads work at different times of day, and which terminal your flight is likely to use. We do not operate a car park, we do not hold your keys and we do not take money for a space.
- What we cover
- Stay types, how charges are usually structured, the Mascot street layout, terminal access and the practical timing of an airport run.
- What we do not do
- No booking forms, no online payment, no reservations, no vehicle movement and no live price list. Any arrangement you make happens at the location you choose, under its posted terms.
- Who it is for
- Travellers flying out of Sydney who are deciding between long-stay, short-stay and kerbside options, and want the layout of the area clear before they drive.
- Where to start
- Read the questions below, then move to Parking Options or Directions and Terminal Access.
Where we are
Where is this information site based
We use 241 O'Riordan Street, Mascot NSW 2020, Australia as our reference point for directions. It sits in the Mascot commercial area north of Sydney Airport, on the strip that runs between the airport and the Alexandria industrial blocks. Read route advice with that point in mind, then navigate to the specific car park entry you have chosen rather than to the reference address.
O'Riordan Street and Bourke Road are the two spines most drivers use to reach the airport precinct from the north. Signage along both points you toward the terminal you have selected, so deciding that first saves a loop around the one-way sections.

Use the map to orient yourself against O'Riordan Street and the airport boundary. It is a reference point for reading our route notes, not a car park entrance.
Hours and contact
When the phone line is answered
Our general enquiry line runs alongside the resource. General questions about this information site can be directed to +61 2 9667 9111. Hours are listed on the Contact page, and the line is not a car park control room.
What this line cannot do
It does not manage car parks, hold a space, move a vehicle or release a barrier. For anything urgent inside a car park, use the help points and the operator phone numbers posted on site, and follow staff and signage on the day.
Do I need to book through this site
No. There are no booking forms and no payments here. You make any airport parking arrangement directly at the location you choose, under its posted terms and its own contact details.
Contact usTerminals and timing
Which Sydney terminal do I use
As a rule of thumb: domestic airlines other than Qantas domestic generally use T2, Qantas domestic generally uses T3, and international flights use T1. Confirm on your ticket before you leave, because codeshares and seasonal exceptions do happen. Driving to the wrong terminal adds a loop around the precinct and can cost you the buffer you built for parking.
Check before you turn off O'Riordan Street or Bourke Road. Once you are inside the one-way airport roads, correcting a terminal mistake takes noticeably longer than checking your booking while still on Mascot streets.
Get directions to Mascot| Flight type | Terminal usually used | Check before you drive |
|---|---|---|
| Domestic, non-Qantas | T2 | Codeshare flights and last-minute airline changes can move the terminal, so re-check the day before you travel. |
| Qantas domestic | T3 | T2 and T3 sit beside each other, but the walk between them is not short with luggage. Confirm which one is on your ticket. |
| International | T1 | Add extra time for check-in and security queues, and allow for the longer drive across the precinct. |
General guidance only. Your airline's own confirmation is the authority on which terminal you use, and airport signage changes occasionally when works are underway.
Arrival and overstays
How early should I arrive to park
Many travellers aim to be parked and walking about 90 minutes before domestic boarding, and earlier for an international flight. Add 20 to 30 minutes during school holidays and peak business banks, when Mascot roads queue quickly because several flights are banking together. Arriving earlier is calmer than arriving exactly on time and hoping the kerb is clear.
A workable routine: decide the terminal, choose the stay type, drive the Mascot approach once in your head, then leave with a buffer you can afford to lose. If a shuttle is part of your chosen option, allow time for the wait at the pick-up point as well as the ride.
If you stay longer than planned
Extra time can push you into another posted block, and the new total is worked out by the operator at exit. Keep your entry photos or ticket, any delay notice from your airline, and your boarding pass together. On return, go directly to your car and read the exit instructions on the payment machine or the posted board before you queue at the barrier.
If something does not add up at the exit, use the help point at that site rather than forcing the barrier. The staff there can see your entry record; we cannot, because we do not hold any parking records at all.

Common questions
Answers we give most often
Four questions come up again and again from travellers planning airport parking in Mascot. Open any row for the short answer, then follow the linked guide if you want the full explanation.
Contact usIs this the official airport operator?
No. This is an independent information site about parking near Sydney Airport. It does not operate car parks, take bookings or process payments. Any arrangement you make is with the car park or operator you choose, under their posted terms.
Can I pay online here?
No. There are no payment forms on this site. Any payment happens at the parking location you use, using the methods that location accepts, whether that is a pay station, a boom gate card reader or an online portal run by the operator itself.
Where do I find live prices?
Live prices are shown on the posted signs at each parking location and on the operator's own boards. This site explains how stay periods are usually counted and what tends to push a stay into a higher block, but it does not list live rates because they change.
How do I get to Mascot by car?
Most drivers use the Eastern Distributor from the city, WestConnex or the M5 from the west, or General Holmes Drive from the south. Check Live Traffic NSW on the day, because roadworks and incidents change the best approach quickly. See Directions and Terminal Access for the turn-by-turn notes.
